Afternoon tea at The Plaza Hotel is a must when visiting NYC! It was such a fun time exploring the area and then popping into the hotel. I felt just like Eloise! The tea cups even have the sweetest little drawing of Eloise on them. We made a reservation at the Palm Court ahead of time since it was quite busy, and even though it isn’t the most budget friendly stop in NYC, for us it was definitely worth the splurge. For a truly divine pot of tea (I loved the lavender oolong and the vanilla rooibos) and a sampling of delectable finger sandwiches and pastries, this is the perfect treat. Plus, a glass of champagne to go with the experience is a nice touch.

Afterward, we popped into St. Patrick’s Cathedral to light a candle. I remembered attending mass there when I was in high school, but the sheer size and beauty of the church was even greater than I remembered – such a force to be reckoned with.
Afternoon tea and St. Patrick’s Cathedral are definitely two spots I’d put on my itinerary for next time!
Happy Tuesday, everyone! Enjoy the short week ahead!
