Sometimes I get that chill deep in my bones, and I just can’t shake it. That’s how I know the real New England weather has arrived – and that it’s here to stay. Brr…

In order to combat the cold, a down parka like this one or the one featured in this post is a must. Every winter I ask myself why I am still living in chilly New England. I’m sure I could get a job somewhere in a warmer, more temperate climate. Of course, my roots are here – all my family and friends – but beyond that, every year, when we do finally get the first snowfall, I’m convinced that Boston really is my home. Sure, it can be bitingly cold, and the endless shoveling can be a headache, but there is nothing better than bundling up for a walk outside on a snowy, yet sunny winter morning after an all night snowfall…it’s magical! When you’ve had enough, running back inside to curl up by the fire with a cozy sweater, a warm drink and a good book is quite appealing as well.

Try to enjoy the magic of the season!
