My roommates and I signed up for Clover’s community farmshare program this year. It has been a phenomenal investment so far. We paid one upfront fee a few weeks ago, and now we are getting a box of fresh, organic veggies each week throughout the summer (until October)! The CSA (community supported agriculture) program has proven to be the best economic model for small farms in Massachusetts since the 1980s. Not only do we feel great about always having an abundant supply of seasonal veggies in the apartment, but we also love supporting a local farm. Our veggies come from Enterprise Farm in South Deerfield, MA. Checkout this week’s share below:
Green smoothies and flavorful stir fry dishes are sure to become staples this summer. There is really nothing better than cooking with fresh spring garlic. Although I’m not usually a fan of garlic, I love the freshness of these little bulbs because the flavor is milder.
One added bonus of the CSA program is the coupon booklet for Clover meals. With an excuse to try everything on the menu, I’ve found I just can’t resist the rosemary french fries!
Has anyone else signed up for a farmshare before?
