Blushing

This blush blazer is the the perfect layer over dresses for the spring. I love the soft, feminine touch that a blush colored piece can bring to an otherwise neutral look. As much as I love pops of color, I usually err on the safe side and tend toward choosing plenty of neutrals to pair with my bright colors.

I’ve gushed about this dress once before but I just love the blush and burgundy print. It is springy and cheery without being overly aggressive. Plus, this blazer pairs well with it by really bringing out those blush tones in the print.

Dress: Club Monac0 // Blazer: BCBG // Shoes: Steve Madden // Bag: Michael Kors (similar here)

What I love most about this blazer is the light and flexible material. It is not bulky or restrictive at all – as blazers sometimes can be. Even better – the sleeves are a very light spandex blend that is super comfortable. I also love the lack of collar on this, which allows the dress underneath to shine through even more by not overpowering it.

Sweaters and blazers are essential year round in New England because you just never know when you will be hit with chilly, windy weather.

How do you layer for spring!
