A Day at Sea

A deep sea fishing adventure off the coast of Cape Cod this past weekend was a blast. The weather was on point, and the fish were out. We were getting little nibbles on our bait (squid) all day, but only ended up catching one fish.

Even though the sun was blaring, the breeze out on the water can be a bit chilly, so this super lightweight button up over my bathing suit was perfect for keeping warm and protected from the sun. I’m very concerned about getting too much sun exposure (no one wants premature aging), so this hat and these sunglasses were a must!

Although I don’t love to eat the fish we catch, of course, I had to sample it. It really is the best when it’s the freshest. I can’t bring myself to go anywhere near the gutting and filleting process, but it was pretty good when cooked (seen here)!
