Brr! It’s getting chilly and windy out there! Do you live in a cold winter climate? Do you have a favorite wardrobe piece from the warmer months that you wish your could wear even though it has gotten cold? Just layer it with a black turtleneck! Personally, one winter wardrobe staple that I certainly can not live without is a simple black turtleneck. 

As shown, my favorite Club Monaco jumpsuit is a piece I just couldn’t retire for the chilly season. Fortunately, the bright florals and paisleys against the dark, black background make this piece super versatile – appropriate for both warm summer nights or chilly winter outings. To complement it, I just threw on a pair of black suede booties. Voila – a simple, yet chic look. And so, it couldn’t be easier to embrace into the bitter cold weather.

Turtlenecks, specifically, lightweight black turtlenecks are a favorite I rely on all winter long. I love layering them under fur vests, puffer vests, and even under itchy sweaters! Sometimes you just need a soft layer against your skin to provide a barrier between you and your fuzzy wools. Besides, no one likes a draft zipping through the gaps in a chunky knit on a bitter winter day.
