Waxed Weather

This past weekend was cold. Yesterday was even colder. I don’t know about you guys, but I am not ready for winter quite yet. I’m still trying to soak up every minute of the remaining crisp, mild fall days. For days when the weather is cool and brisk, I love to wear my Barbour waxed cotton jacket. The thick cotton material is heavyweight, and the waxy outer layer serves to weatherproof the coat from wind and rain. You can even attach a removable hood for extra protection. This is a slightly boxy jacket, but that is actually what I love about it. I’m able to wear vests and chunky sweaters underneath on colder weather days for added warmth. I like to layer my Patagonia vests underneath, but you can actually get a vest lining that zips into the jacket for extra insulation.
