Watercolors at Golden Hour

As soon as I spotted the pattern of this skirt, I knew it was going to be mine. I’m a color lover, and this floral-y, watercolor, “Monet-esqe” print just spoke to me. The layers of tiny pleats give this skirt a very whimsical and playful feel, which I love. Not to mention that the two tiers give the skirt a slimming drop waist effect, which is both feminine and flattering. Chambray is always a classic, and I love how it dresses down the skirt without detracting from or subduing its vibrance. I’ve made no secret of the fact that these flats are my absolute favorite…ever. The leather is so supple, making these the most comfortable flat I’ve ever worn, which I know is a bold statement. The metallic gold goes with anything, so these are pretty much an everyday shoe for me. I’m thinking of picking them up in another color, just to be able to switch off.

Spending the early evening strolling through Boston Common and the Public Gardens is absolutely perfect this time of year. The weather isn’t hot or cold – it’s just right. That perfect temperature is pretty rare in Boston, so it’s very necessary to take advantage of it while it lasts. Plus, this time of day (commuting hour) is the best for people watching, which I hate to admit, but I love doing during a leisurely walk.
