Travel Necessities

With the next few weeks packed with travel, I’ve been planning and packing to be ready for it all! Exciting as everything will be, I’m always afraid of forgetting something crucial. I don’t like checking a bag if I don’t have to (I’ve had my luggage lost on multiple occasions), so I like to keep everything with me in a carry-on. Here are all my necessities (TSA friendly!) that will be coming along for the adventures:IMG_2232 IMG_2231Working Hair Spray // I love that this is formulated without and parabens, sulfates or anything else toxic. Plus, its great in humidity and the scent is mild and fresh.

Drybar Detox // I never go anywhere without dry shampoo. I try to wash my hair every other day like my hairdresser recommends, but sometimes I just feel better and more confident with freshly cleaned hair. However, too frequent washing seems to make my hair seem greasier faster, and a spritz of dry shampoo can really work wonders on the off days. The scent of this one is a little bit strong, but it really does work magic.

Clinique Take the Day Off // This make-up remover is the perfect way to lift all the impurities up for fresh and conditioned skin. Its especially good for that delicate skin around the eyes.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser // Face wash is not something I’m willing to sacrifice on. I love this gentle but effective cleanser that has all good ingredients (and none of the bad stuff). There’s a light rosewater fragrance that’s perfectly refreshing for morning and night.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Lip Balm Stick // It’s important to keep lips moisturized at all times. There is nothing worse than chapped lips from being on a super dry airplane for too long.

Clinque Chubby Stick // A little lip color goes a long way in livening up your look after a long flight or a late night. “Roomiest Rose” has been a go-to color for me for a few years now.

Minimergency Kit // This is ideal. I never know what I’m going to forget, but it’s always something. This little kit has it all, and has really come in handy on several occasions (i.e., when in serious need of dental floss or a stain wipe).

Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelletes // For when you’re in a pinch. Never ever to go bed without at least wiping off the day’s make-up, dirt and grime with one of these.IMG_2230CeraVe Facial Moisturizer AM/PM // This is another one of those things I’m not willing to forgo. The dryness of air travel and hotel rooms can be very taxing on the skin, so moisturizing is key. SPF is essential for daytime, but it’s unnecessary to put those chemicals on at night. I’m a proponent for bringing both daytime and nighttime moisturizers.

Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo + Conditioner // I really don’t like to leave the shampoo choice up to the hotel. The wrong shampoo can really dry out my hair and make blow drying a nightmare. I’ve always loved this coconut milk shampoo, so its definitely a safe bet for travelling.
