Who washes their hair every day? NOT ME! First off, I just don’t have time to dedicate to drying and style it each day, and secondly, too much washing just isn’t great for hair health. Washing your hair strips it of its natural oils, causing your hair to produce even more. Personally, I notice that the more I wash my hair, the greasier it gets, faster. However, the less I wash my hair, the longer I can go without washing. It’s almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. If I get into a cycle of just two to three washes per week, I can perpetuate that for a while. Given my workout schedule and my current lifestyle, I end up washing my hair every other day or every two days.
So, how to handle next day hair? Enter: Bed Head Styling Morning After collection. After sleeping on my hair, especially now that it’s short, sometimes I’ll wake up with a few kinks in it. In order to preserve my “morning after” look, I’ll take the Bed Head 1″ Morning After Straightener. Usually, I’ll go for a super straight sleek look, and just run the flat iron through it to smooth out any kinks from sleeping. What I especially love about this product is that you can select your heat setting based on the last time you washed your hair: wash day, second day or third day. This will help to reduce the heat damage for healthy-looking hair! I just clamp about a 1-inch section of hair between straightening plates and slide the straightener down the isolated area.
If I want a loose waved look, I might even use the straightener for loose waves. This is actually one of my current favorite ways to wear my short hair. Would you be interested in a video tutorial?
If I want to see a little more volume in my hair, as opposed to a super straight sleek look, I’ll opt for the Bed Head Morning After Hair Smoother. This is a great option because the heated barrel can smooth out kinks while creating voluminous flips and waves. Sometimes, I’ll want just a little bit of fluffing, and wrapping sections of my hair around the brush barrel as I run it through my hair (as shown in the photos) will create easy and natural looking volume.
How do you make your hair last longer in between washes? I’m always looking to prolong mine!

I’m right there with ya! I wash my hair at least every other day, most of the time it’s every two or three days! I swear by dry shampoo during that time lol for some reason my hair has been getting oily faster so I’ve been using it more!
