The Grove Street Press

A few months ago, a friend had been telling me about an Instagram feed she was loving. Of course, I followed along as well and quickly became obsessed with The Grove Street Press! Having the opportunity to jet down to New Orleans for a brief work trip, I could not wait to pop over to the shop to check it out for myself.IMG_2348IMG_2351Based in Louisiana, with the quaintest workshop right in the heart of New Orleans, this print shop just might be the cutest I’ve ever seen. Cousins Kate and Anna are the inspiration behind it all. Having grown up together, but separating for college in different states, the pair teamed up after graduation to start The Grove Street Press. They were actually given their first printing press as a gift, and soon after developed a business they were passionate about. They’ve been operating a successful shop for over a year now!IMG_2347IMG_2357The shop is full of so many treasures and so much inspiration. I could have spent the whole day admiring the decor, which truly embodies the traditions of the Old South as well as classic American style.IMG_2352 IMG_2353 IMG_2354 IMG_2355IMG_2349IMG_2358And of course, I had to pick up a few prints for my own. With so many fun options to choose from, I narrowed it down to the below. My favorite by far has to be the “Old Fashioned Thank You Note.” How clever is that? IMG_2346IMG_2356I’d highly recommend popping into the shop if you ever find yourself in the New Orleans area. Afterward, you can visit The National World War II Museum right across the street for another dose of culture and history.

Thanks again to Kate and Anna for sharing your story. I’ll definitely be ordering some more prints soon!
