There’s something special about summer in New England. Long weekends on Cape Cod were the epitome of growing up in Massachusetts and are still the perfect escape from a busy workweek in the city. One spot that is always a priority to stop by is Sundae School in Harwich Port.
The spacious patio and striped umbrellas are ideal for chatting with friends and eating ice cream after dinner in town. Beware the evening scene here, though, because the lines can be long and seats can be hard to come by. But warm, leisurely summer nights make the busy scene the perfect place to hang out.
I have come to love the pistachio ice cream here. Aside from the pistachio gelato I’ve had in Europe, this has to be the best pistachio flavor. I especially like that Sundae School doesn’t use any food dyes, so you can feel good about that fact that nothing unnatural is going into your ice cream.
For a breezy summer day like this one, I’m a fan of of this Bliss Silk Dress (now on sale!!) from J.McLaughlin. The smocked waist give the dress a feminine and flattering feel. Bright florals on cream silk feel playful and elegant all at the same time. This dress is definitely a summer staple.
