As we clean out our homes, our wardrobes, our cars, etc. in preparation for the springtime season ahead, it is also the perfect time to revisit our skin care routines. It is always a good idea to assess what is working for your skin and what isn’t every now and then. Oftentimes, we rely on heavier products for the winter to keep our skin protected from the harsh elements and nourished after exposure to excessive dryness. (If interested, you can read more about my winter skincare routine here.)
With the warmer weather quickly approaching, luminous skin is a must! Be sure to take a few minutes just for you, and to refresh your skin! Do a hydrating face mask to quench thirsty winter skin. I’m loving these Karuna sheet masks right now! I actually got them as a part of my spring Fab Fit Fun box (if you’re interested in getting your own box, use code ‘LILAC’ for $10 off), and have been hooked ever since.
Here are some of my other current skin care favorites for this season:
one || I almost exclusively rely on micellar water to cleanse my skin in the winter to avoid over drying, but now that it is starting to warm up, I love a soothing, refreshing face wash.
two || This deeply hydrating night cream is thick enough to give your skin the nourishment it needs while you sleep, without being overly heavy.
three || This time of year my lips seem to be extra chapped. Maybe it’s the change in seasons, but I don’t go anywhere without a good lip balm.
four || These sheet masks are quite popular right now, and they are definitely giving my skin the rejuvenation it needs.
five || I used this hydration serum religiously all winter long under both my daytime moisturizer and night cream, and while I don’t need it as much now, I still like to layer it on whenever my skin needs an added boost.
six || Micellar water is my #1 go-to skin care product. Ever since I discovered it a few years ago, I can’t live without it. It cleans my skin like no other product, and sometimes it’s nice to ‘double cleanse’ with micellar water after using a traditional face wash. Sometimes, you just need to really wash the day off.
seven || This has been my favorite daytime moisturizer for a while. I love that it has a sun protectant (a must in my book), plus it goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly and smells amazing.
eight || The warmer weather means more time in the sun. It is so important to use sunscreen on a daily basis, but even with that, it is still quite possible to get some sun damage, especially in the delicate skin around the eyes. This antioxidant roller really gives the skin around the eyes a serious refresh and helps reduce fine lines.

I agree! It’s best to change your skin care when the season changes to adapt it to the new temperatures and weather conditions.
Have a wonderful day!
