Recently, I visited the Prospect Hill Monument in Somerville, which provides gorgeous views of Boston. Having only ever seen photos of the monument, I had no idea what a sight it would be in real life. Being so close to the city, this was such a fun little weekend adventure.
It is easy to forget how rich in history this city is. There are so many stories to be told about our ancestors and our roots, and there are reminders of that history all around us. The Prospect Hill Monument was dedicated in 1902 in commemoration of the soldiers of the Revolutionary War.
Now that spring is here, I am eager to start breaking out some of my new purchases, like this pastel blue bell-sleeve dress. Even though it has still been a bit chilly lately, I’m not letting it stop me; however, for full disclosure, I had on my winter coat this day – I just took it off for a few quick photos.

After this fun, but chilly photoshoot, we popped into Juliet in Union Square, which is the sweetest little European style cafe, for some much needed warming up. This area of Somerville has so much to offer – so much that I had never explored before. You can see more on my Instagram here.

I love the colors together. I feel like I almost bought a purse like that but I can’t remember why I didn’t! The dress looks great on you!
