Soaking Up Summer

These last few days of summer are going by way too quickly. With Labor Day right around the corner, I can’t help but soak up every last second of these warm summer evenings, so here is a little reminder to get every last wear out of those favorite summer dresses! Even though I do love the crisp fall air and the new beginnings that come with the fall season, I always start to feel so nostalgic at the end of the summer. So, as my way of dragging out this effortless season of easy dressing as long as possible, here’s another look at one of my favorite dresses from this past season (also seen here).

This summer has definitely been a good one with lots of trips to quintessential New England destinations. I loved visiting Vermont, Cape Cod and the Berkshires. Throughout the long winters that New England is so well known for, it can be easy to forget just how gorgeous this area of the country is during the other seasons. I know I will look back fondly on these photos from all these summer trips when I’m sitting inside by the fire wrapped up in three sweaters and five blankets because I just can’t get warm. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating juuust a little bit, but I am seriously not ready to even THINK about the cold months ahead. Can anyone else relate to that?!

Before I get too far ahead of myself here, I first have to admit that one of the best parts of fall is adding pieces to a new fall wardrobe! If you missed the Nordstrom sale this summer, or even if you took full advantage of it like I did, there are sure to be plenty more savvy shopping options for your fall closet. In the meantime, don’t forget to get every last wear out of those little white dress and other summery attire before this season of sunshine comes to an end!
