Rustic + Effortless

This rustic inspired Tularosa dress (now 40% off at $130!!) is both charming and lightweight for a truly effortless look on a hot summer day. This is a look I wore while staying at the Taconic in Vermont, and believe me, it was hot. Although this dress is fully lined, and looks like it could be a bit heavy, the material is light and airy – so perfect for exploring on a warm day.

Although, I love it when the weather finally gets warm, and I definitely love a good tropical getaway, sometimes when it is too hot, I just can’t handle. Maybe it is the New Englander in me, and I’m conditioned for cold winters, but on a hot summer day, I generally prefer the shade (or at least a shady hat).

The embroidery on the fitted bodice is my favorite. I love the delicate detailing, and the little beads on the stretchy waist give this dress a very feminine flare. I felt comfortable, and also like the shape of the dress was flattering to my figure. I also love the slightly bohemian and rustic style of Tularosa, while still maintaining a very classic and charming vibe. The lightweight voile fabric was super comfy, and although it does wrinkle quite a bit, I found that having a handy travel steamer in my suitcase can work wonders on anything in just a matter of minutes.
