Revealing…

This post is a little scary for me! This is my first time doing a real swimsuit post – and on top of that – without any make up! These photos, snapped while on vacation, are a true representation of a day at the beach (well… before applying oily sunscreen and letting my hair get into a wet, tangled, salty mess). I feel like sometimes my photos can look staged (from moving unsightly objects out of the way or adding props), and I wanted to show my real self. I’m working on letting myself be more vulnerable and that means letting all of you as readers into my life a little more!

As soon as I knew I was going on vacation, I started looking for swimsuits. Since the plans for this trip worked out fairly last minute, I utilized these 7 tips to shop. I like to do most of my shopping online, so I always make sure to shop at retailers that offer free shipping and free returns like Shopbop or Nordstrom. If something doesn’t work out as planned, it’s easy enough to return or exchange. When I was younger, I always shopped for basic triangle bikinis, but in recent years, I’m loving something a little bit different. This one-piece lets me switch it up and cover up a little more too – without feeling too conservative. One thing I will say about this particular suit though – make sure to size up. It actually runs pretty small.
