The OOTD trend has been out there for quite a while now, but I’m finding that it is still super relevant. Try searching the #ootd tag on Instagram, and you’ll find there are over 69 million posts. Bloggers and fashionistas everywhere are sharing their latest finds and influencing trends at a faster rate than ever before, thanks primarily to networks such as Instagram, Bloglovin’ and Pose, among others. I think OOTD Magazine, especially, is doing a really great job offering a platform to shop some of the latest influencer trends as well as to read what they have to say – all while maintaining a more moderated environment unlike the aforemented social media platforms.
I came across this OOTD brand dress at Nordstrom Rack recently, and I knew I had to try it on. I love the excess material at the hem and how the neckline and shoulder cut are essentially universally flattering. It’s true! My college roommate and I would always be on the lookout for dresses with this type of cut. We found it to be especially perfect for little black dresses that were to be worn over and over (because to be realistic, a LBD can be appropriate for almost any occasion).
These Stuart Weitzman slingback wedges are another summer favorite that paired perfectly with the breeziness of the dress. The shoes are not only beyond comfortable, but are also very stable for walking on summertime terrain, i.e., cobblestones, stone pathways and grassy lawns. They are definitely worth the investment for a fun, yet dressy warm-weather shoe.
