A week at Carlisle Bay, Antigua (pronounced an-tee-gah) was amazing, but of course, transitioning back into the daily grind is never that enjoyable. As I unpack from the last of my travels this week, I can’t help but allow my mind drift back into vacation mode from time to time. A little rest & relaxation with my family was so long overdue, that I just can’t help but feel like a week together wasn’t long enough!
Beachside dining for every meal in the open air pavilion shown below was my dream come true. A week later, it really does seem like it was all just a dream…
Searching for sea creatures and finding lots of jumbo starfish – there is so much to admire from the colorful marine life. Ranging in size from that of small saucer to the jumbo guy shown below, these spiny creatures were everywhere.
A view overlooking English Harbor at Shirley Heights at sunset – can’t beat it!
Having visited Antigua twice now, it is my favorite vacation destination by far. Any tips for transitioning back into a regular work schedule? Let me know in the comments below!
Try and hold onto the memory of vacation and “island time” for as long as you can! No need to rush back into the real world too quickly if you ask me 🙂
Definitely agreed!!
