What is better than a few drinks with a few good friends? A few drinks with friends at brunch! For me, weekends are precious. They are so valuable because you time can be spent in a million different ways of your own choosing. Specifically, I like to catch up with family and friends. There is nothing quite like kick-starting the weekend than with a Saturday morning make-your-own-mimosa bar with girlfriends!
The beauty of a mimosa bar is all of the options available to your guests. That means plenty of juice choices, a variety of fruits for garnish, and – of course – plenty of champagne! Everyone will be able to find something they like – even those who aren’t planning on drinking champagne – a refreshing glass of juice with fresh fruit is a must! I labeled the different options with these chalkboard stickers and chalkboard marker for a rustic feel.

I absolutely love color, especially bright colors! I started out with a white tablecloth and a lot of glassware: champagne flutes, carafes, fruit dishes, etc. I knew the fruit and the juice would be adding lots of color, but I wouldn’t have felt the spread was quite right without a few feminine, girly touches of my own.
For a little extra flair, I even sugared the rims of the glasses before the guests arrived. I used a mixture of edible gold dust, white granulated sugar, and gold sugar crystals. All that needed to be done was to wet the rim with a lemon slice and turn the glass upside down to dip in the sugar mixture. Wait a few minutes for everything to dry, and your sugar will stay in place until the guests start sipping.
Now, I know you wouldn’t normally put a straw in a mimosa, but how sweet do these pink straws look? Too cute to pass up!
I also sprinkled the table top with a little bit of circular gold confetti to make the table look less staged and completed party ready!
My favorite little touches of the whole spread? The gorgeous flowers! Believe it or not, these are all just grocery store (Trader Joe’s) ranunculus, roses and hydrangeas. A little rearranging and tossing these into some Mason jars yields the perfect table accents. I love fresh flowers, but you can also invest in some realistic faux flowers to keep on hand.
Lastly, you can never go wrong with a few balloons for the room, and of course, don’t forget to make sure your champagne is chilled – I love this acrylic ice bucket!
Just be sure to have your guests follow these simple steps:
- Pick a juice.
- Add champagne to taste.
- Garnish with fruit.
- Enjoy!
You’ll be sure to have a wonderful get together with friends! Cheers!

I had a mimosa bar for my 25th birthday brunch back in April. I absolutely love it. Yours looks so much more fancy though!
