Lush Island Florals

We’re in Antigua! It’s one of the most beautiful places on Earth – in my opinion. It rained quite a bit in the beginning of the trip, but the silver lining in that misfortune is that everything cleared up and the plant life that surrounds us is as lush as ever! There are so many beautiful flowers and plants to see and take in. Every time we come back to Antigua, I am blown away by the gorgeous scenery – it is such a contrast from the stark New England winter scenes. It really makes me appreciate the time away from home – and of course look forward to when things start to get green and vibrant again back home.

After the rain cleared up, I popped on this floral printed romper by Lush I found at Nordstrom. This was the perfect playful little suit that was loose and airy, which is much needed given the humidity here on the island. I love the slightly open back and the loose fitting shorts. I’m always drawn to floral patterns – that is no secret – but I especially love that this floral print is a little more subtle with neutral colors. It’s perfect for dinner on the beach or exploring around town.

Although it wasn’t so sunny at first, I did find the overcast skies to be exceptionally bright on my eyes. This Sole Society hat was a savior. It’s wide brim protected my eyes from the sun, but wasn’t too big that it was overwhelming – definitely a must for future trips!

This wasn’t my first time to Antigua. I’ve been with the family a few times before (seen here), and we love Carlisle Bay because they take such great care of us here. It truly is paradise. I don’t think I’m ever going home 🙂
