Ski Season with Skedaddle
You guys! I am so obsessed with skiing again. I can’t believe I ever let so many years go by without getting up to the slopes. My dad taught my siblings and me to ski at a young age, and we would have so much on day trips up to the mountains together. We’d usually go to Mount Sunapee in New Hampshire since it’s only about a 1.5 hour drive from where we lived just north of Boston. I have so many fond memories of those days!
Recently, I’d been hearing about a new travel app called Skedaddle, an app which is changing the way we think about bus travel. Bus travel…I know what you’re thinking, but with Skedaddle there are no bus stations and no waiting around! Skedaddle will send a luxury coach bus (I’m talking one with USB charger ports….score!) to a predetermined pick up location and get you where you need to go, easily and comfortably.
When Skedaddle asked me to partner for a trip up to Mount Sunapee, you can bet I jumped at the chance. I’d been dying to get back out on the slopes recently, and this was the perfect opportunity! My boyfriend and I made our way over to our pick up location in South Boston for a 6am departure, loaded our gear onto the bus and promptly fell asleep. We both woke up after an hour or so, enjoyed a hot cup of coffee (thank you for that Skedaddle!!) and before we knew it, we had arrived, just in time for first tracks!
Getting back into skiing after a few years was a little scary at first. I had gone skiing one other time this winter, which was HUGE for helping me get my ski legs back. But what they say is definitely true – it’s just like riding a bike! Luckily, Sunapee is big enough and has plenty of nice, wide trails that it was helpful for me to get in some easier runs in the morning to work up my confidence, before hitting some tougher, steeper runs later on.

What I love about the app is that if you’re feeling adventurous or craving a road trip, you can browse the routes already available in the app. Of, if you have somewhere in mind that you’re trying to get to, you can set up your own route! You just need to get 10 riders confirmed and Skedaddle will take care of the rest! They’ll make sure a luxury bus shows up to get you and your crew where you need to go! The best part about setting up a route, once confirmed, you as the organizer ride free! That’s a perk if I ever heard of one!
Skedaddle is great for ski trips, but also consider concerts with friends or sporting events – that I know none of you want to drive to. (Ahem, any Patriots fans out there? You know getting down to Foxboro from Boston for a game is no easy feat, so why not set up a ride?!)
I have to say, that one of the best parts about Skedaddle is after a long, exhausting day of skiing we didn’t have to even think about getting home. The last thing either of us wanted to do was pull up a GPS and drive back to Boston. We just made our way back to the bus, loaded in our gear, took a quick snooze and before we knew it, we were back home changing into cozy pjs and enjoying nice, hot soup for dinner. Easy!
Ski Outfit Details
Like I said, it had been quite a few years since my last ski trip, so of course, I had to pick up some new outerwear (luckily my skis were still in great shape and just needed a quick tune up)!
Ski coat: The North Face Inlux || Ski pants: The North Face Freedom || Favorite socks ever: SmartWool || Gloves: Burton || Goggles: Similar here, but I’ve learned the pink tint helps so much with shadows
Who is looking to get up to the slopes this winter? Would you give Skedaddle a try?

Thank you to Skedaddle for sponsoring this post!
I’ve actually never been skiing even though I probably live in one of the best countries to do so! Looks like such a fun time 🙂
