Yesterday was the first day I felt that cold New England chill in my bones this year. Last year had been pretty brutal with endless snowfall and freezing temps. Just because we’ve had a mild winter so far this year, it doesn’t mean we will continue to have that luxury in the coming months. What I’ve found to help combat this fickle and generally harsh weather is to wear layers! Lots of them! Sweaters and vests and scarfs and tights and socks – the more you wear, the more you can peel off throughout the day if the sun does start to warm you up. I like to stock my closet with lots of neutrals like grays and tans and camels as well as some pops of winter colors – like burgundys, reds and blues. The nice thing about these colors is that they mix well together for layering. Normally I’d wear a big puffer over this outfit on a regular winter day, but for the sake of this post (or if it is one of those exceptionally temperate winter days!), I had to forgo the coat.

Don’t forget to bundle up out there!

I’m dying to get my hands on that sweater dress! I have a few, but now that it’s getting so chilly I need a few more in my wardrobe haha
