Irish Knit Aran Sweater
Growing up in a family of predominantly Irish descent, I’ve been wanting a traditional Irish Aran knit for a while now. I love cozy sweaters (although you probably already knew that), but sometimes sweaters can be too heavy or even worse – itchy. Fortunately, for Christmas this year I got the most perfect knit sweater as a gift! It is lightweight, super warm and not itchy in the least. The best part is that it is available from the Carraig Donn store on Amazon, which is a personal victory for me because I just may need to get the navy blue version as well!
More Snow Please
This winter has been pretty mild so far with the temperatures hitting the mid 50s on some days. As a child, I remember snowfall that was taller than I was and lots of snow days. We seem to be lacking in that department this year, which normally I would be okay with (as someone who loves the warmer weather). It may seem strange, but I haven’t had my fill of the snow yet. Escaping the Boston area for a drive out to the western part of the state to the Berkshires (where these photos were taken) presents a surprisingly snowier landscape. Last weekend, we went skiing out there and it was a blast! This coming weekend we have another big ski trip in New Hampshire and I am crossing my fingers (perhaps sleeping with a spoon under my pillow….did any one else do that for a snow day?!) for another big storm.
