Harborside Stripes + Florals

My spring fever is in high gear. As in I’m ready to pack the parka away for the season…but, I won’t do that just yet because I know better. The cold season isn’t quite over yet, but we do have some warmer days ahead. I hear temperatures are forecasted to get up to 70ºF in Boston this week…but, I’ll believe that when I see it. March is one of the hardest months to dress for, in my opinion, because the weather is so fickle. It can literally be 30ºF and sunny one day and 70ºF and rainy the next…what is one to do when getting dressed in the morning?! All I know is – layers are key and always bring a trench coat, like this one, for rain or shine. Either way, I am definitely starting to break out the spring wardrobe, and that includes my absolute new favorite must-have flats for the season!

I’ve had other pairs of Sam Edelman Felicia flats, and they are, without a doubt, one of my top five most comfortable pairs of shoes. I’ve always had good luck with Sam Edelman shoes, and these fun floral flats are no exception. They can easily be worn right out of the box all day without imposing any blisters. I’m obsessed with the cheerful and bold floral pattern, and I think the colors really pop against the dark background – just like the dress in this post!

Stripes are, of course, always a wardrobe staple. I usually love to dress relatively simply and conservatively with one or two statement pieces that really pop, but in this case, I’m loving the mixing of patterns. For some reason, the reds in both this striped sweater and my floral flats come together nicely in a way I didn’t expect.

Instead of going for a bright and sparkly statement necklace, which I almost always gravitate toward, I decided to keep it clean and simple with my classic gold knot earrings and this dainty gold bar pendant.

Sweater: Gap // Pants: Loft // Flats: Sam Edelman // Bag: Ann Taylor (sold out, but similar here) // Necklace: Nordstrom // Earrings: family jeweler (similar here)

Since my favorite piece for Spring so far is so obviously these flats, I’d love to hear what yours is! Let me know in the comments below!
