Jet Setting to San Francisco
Having visited San Francisco once before, I was dying to get back out there. I was so excited to have the opportunity to visit The Marker and to have this centrally located spot as our home base for a jam-packed weekend of exploring. The colorful and unique decor coupled with the staff’s friendly demeanor and willingness to accommodate made our stay comfortable and easy.
^ The team was too good to us! I really appreciated the little treats they left throughout the weekend. After our Napa Valley wine tour (more on that soon), there was a giant plate of fruit left for us! It was seriously just what we needed after such a long day. Truth be told, we actually ran across the street for a baguette and cheese to have as a little appetizer with the fruit plate.
A Colorful City
San Francisco is one of the most colorful and most unique cities I’ve ever visited. The Marker truly embodies those unique characteristics of the city it its decor. The bright blue facade of the building…well, let’s just say I knew I was going to like it here. Blue is such a calming yet invigorating color, so it was a very welcome sight to come home to each evening. The inside of the lobby was ornate, but classic, but the guest rooms were what really piqued my attention. A little twist on primary colored stripes adorned the wall behind the shaped metal headboard (very Instagrammable).
Nightly Wine & Pizza
As much as we loved our room and the overall vibe of the hotel, I have to say that we looked forward to wine hour each evening from 5-6pm. The Marker team hosts this every single night, and if you ever end up at the hotel, you definitely don’t want to miss it. We were able to sample a few different California wines, both white and red. Plus, there is always pizza! The hotel restaurant, Tratto, brought over a selection of delicious pies each evening for the guests to try. We loved it so much that we even popped next door for our own pie all to ourselves.
**Thank you to The Marker San Francisco for hosting us for the weekend.
I’ll be sharing more about everything we did and ate in San Francisco shortly. In the meantime, I definitely recommend The Marker for a great getaway.
Has anyone else enjoyed visiting The Marker before?
