Ice Skating (But Without The Skates)
Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve finally decided to embrace the New England weather this year. Or, maybe it’s the fact that I’ve been exploring the beautiful western part of the state lately. Either way, I’ve been more adventurous with outdoor activities recently. Between skiing and hiking, next on my list was ice skating.
Laurel Lake out in the Berkshires was frozen 6-8 inches deep since December! Lots of people were drilling holes for ice fishing a few weeks ago and one crazy soul even drove his truck right out onto the ice. It might look a little scary here, but I can assure you, this ice was very thick and definitely safe for walking.
Pink Hunter Boots
When it comes to footwear, especially boots, I usually opt for more neutral and versatile tones so that I can wear them with lots of outfits. A few years back, when choosing a pair of Hunter boots, I of course went straight for a pair of classic black gloss (seen here).
My black boots are great, but when I came across this pink pair; however, I knew they were meant for me. They’ve actually come in surprisingly handy all year round (seen in the summer here and in the winter here) for those days when I felt my outfit needed both an extra pop of color and to be weather appropriate.
Plus, when we left our skates at home during our last trip to the Berkshires, I learned that Hunter boots come in quite handy for skating (read: slipping and sliding) around frozen Laurel Lake.
