Happy Fri-YAY! Here’s what’s been catching my eye this week:
1 // Dodie Thayer for Tory Burch
{Image from ToryBurch.com}
This inspired “lettuce ware” is so unique and the detailing is so exquisite. Dodie’s story of how she got started making these by hand in the ’60s is worth a read as well.
2 // Warby Parker Home Try-OnI’ve been searching for a pair of polarized sunglasses for my upcoming vacation. I’ve almost pulled the trigger a few times, but just couldn’t quite do it. Luckily, Warby Parker lets you pick out five styles that they will send right to your door for you to try on in the comfort of your own home. The website even lets you filter by frame width, which is super helpful for me since I have a small face. Luckily, I really love all of the options I chose – now the hard part is just deciding!
3 // Baby Sees Mom For First TIme
This is such a precious moment for this mother and baby – sure to put a smile on your face.
4 // The Greatest Hoodie Ever Made
Very cool business model. It’s reassuring that high-quality American-made garments are on the rise. I typically don’t wear hoodies because I just never feel good in them, but I’d be eager to try one of these heavyweight cotton sweatshirts for casual weekend wear.
5 // Uber to Hire 1 Million Women
The company that we all have a love/hate relationship with this winter has pledged to hire one million women drivers worldwide by 2020. That’s a huge step forward for women in need of more employment opportunities, especially in developing nations. This is also a good opportunity for Uber to reverse the negative reputation it’s gained in recent months.
