When the weather around here isn’t the greatest (think: overcast skies, intermittent rain and lots of puddles), its easy to be disappointed; however, the unpredictable nature of weather in New England, it’s important to be prepared for fear of getting caught in a downpour.
For days when the rain has stopped but there is still the chance for some serious puddle jumping/avoiding, I prefer this comfy and soft Athleta jacket with my shorter hunter boots.
However, on days when the rain is likely still going strong and the weather calls for more serious protection, I like this Vineyard Vines nylon shell. It is easier to protect hair and purses with a more durable and water-resistant option (that is also super easy to pack).
