On Saint Thomas
As I write this on a Saturday morning from my balcony overlooking the beach, I can’t help but feel so lucky. The warm, salty air and the soothing sounds of the ocean provide a much needed reprieve from the punishing cold of Boston (although I hear the weather has been quite warm up there lately)!
We planned this trip fairly last minute – only about three weeks in advance! As soon as flights were booked, I knew I wanted some fun outfits to wear to dinner. I pictured a piece that would be bright and floral, but also representative of the fact that it is still February. Additionally, I wanted something a little different than my normal short and long floral dresses.
When I stumbled across this floral jumpsuit at the Club Monaco Boston celebration of their fashion week collection, I knew it would be perfect for my spur-of-the-moment trip!
Floral Jumpsuit Details
It’s true (at least in my opinion) that the details make an outfit. For me, this bright floral pattern against a dark black background really make the colors pop. I’m usually a fan of smaller, more blended floral prints, but this bolder, bigger pattern really caught my eye. Plus the flirty ruffled cap sleeves elevate the whole suit, and make it a bit more sophisticated than it would be if it were just sleeveless.
I also just want to talk about these lace up espadrille wedges for a moment. I picked them out last summer, and they have been worn again and again. They were so popular that Nordstrom actually restocked them again for this year! I’ve actually been wearing them on repeat this vacation, despite the fact that I definitely overpacked in the shoe department this trip.

Anyone else have a fun trip planned to escape the cold?
