This weekend was absolutely gorgeous here in Boston! I am happy to say that it is finally warming up around here!! Although I grew up in the area, I always question why we live here each winter – especially during those extra bitter weeks in March. Needless to say, I am so so happy that the weather is warm and the first blooms are starting to pop out.
This dress…I mean, this dress. I was obsessed with it the second I saw it. I guess I wasn’t the only one because it is already sold out!! I feel like a lot of my wardrobe used to consist of fairly short shift dresses. These were a staple of my college wardrobe, and even though I love a good shift dress, I am on the taller side, so most short dresses are just too short on me. Quite frankly, I just feel more comfortable in a longer dress! That way, I don’t need to worry about being too exposed. I just felt so feminine and pretty in this dress, and the colorful floral print makes it perfect for spring!
My roommates and I recently hosted a Stella & Dot party for our friends and family, which was such a fun time. We had a little champagne brunch a build-your-own mimosa bar (more on that soon!!). The party was a huge success and I ended up getting this slim striped clutch and this cocktail ring. I feel like both will be great additions to my spring/summer wardrobe!
Since the dress and clutch make a statement for themselves, I chose to go with a simple shoe (also seen here) and a dainty necklace (also seen here). I didn’t want my jewelry to detract from this new favorite dress in any way, and I loved the femininity that the necklace and shoes added to the look.
