Fall in Love…with Fall

New England autumns are the absolute best. Although the fall foliage isn’t here in full force yet, I’m really loving fall already, from all the fresh apple treats to pumpkin flavored everything.  In the fall there is just a certain feeling in the air that smells of new beginnings, fresh attitudes and excitement for what is to come. I think this stems from the feelings surrounding the start of a new school year. Anyone else feel this way about this particular season?

October is such a unique month, and it is one of the most beautiful months in New England, in my opinion. The weather is just right: not too hot, and there is a crispness in the air that can really wake you up and put a smile on your face. I’ve been using any excuse I can to explore some of my favorite quintessential New England areas this time of  year. A leisurely stroll around town in the crisp autumn air is all I need.

As I’ve mentioned before I love layering, especially button ups underneath cozy sweaters. I am a particular fan of this sweater, not only for its deep forest green hue, but also because it isn’t too heavy. It kept me nice and warm without being too bulky. Denim is always a constant no matter the season, so I think these black jeans will be a staple for me this fall. These shoes have come up on the blog already, but the glossy snakeskin is so fun that they are easily my favorite shoe right now!
