Environmentally Friendly
Ever wonder how your online shopping habits effect the environment? I certainly do! I’m always feeling so wasteful when I order something online, and it comes in lots of cardboard boxes, plastic bags, paper stuffing, peanuts, styrofoam, etc. There is always so much to throw away/recycle after opening up a new package. Well, with Rothy’s, you never have to worry about any of that. I picked up a pair of these beauties at The Skinny Dip while on Nantucket in September, and they have been on repeat ever since.
So, the Rothy’s team uses a fiber made from 100% recycled water bottles. You might not think this fiber would be breathable, but it surprisingly is. Plus, it is moisture-wicking. These are some of the most comfortable and breathable shoes I have ever worn (that aren’t made of leather). The best part is that an almost completely waste free process is used to 3D knit these trendy shoes. If you do choose to order a pair (or three), rest assured that even the packaging is from recycled materials, so this is virtually a guild-free purchase. Who knew something so practical could also be so cute?! And you know they are cool, because they were even featured in Vogue.
Color Coordinating
I love this dark camo pair, because they pretty much match with any outfit. They are neutral enough to go with whatever color scheme you’ve got in mind, but they are unique enough to add a little something extra. I’m always a fan of a vibrant crimson color. A true red lip and a matching red manicure always brings a classic touch to any look. Recently, I splurged on what immediately became my new favorite lipstick, this Yves Saint Laurent color in Le Rouge. I’ve tried a lot of different lipsticks in my day, and this YSL one is worth the hefty price tag. It goes on silky smooth and the consistency isn’t to thick or too thin. Plus, it stay in place all day without drying out my lips. I’m actually thinking about a second pair of Rothy’s in red camo.
