Crown & Anchor

Crown & Anchor is a very old, very simple dice game known for its popularity among sailors, especially in the British royal navy. I recently played with some friends, and it turned out to be an ideal social game for playing with a group. Oftentimes when entertaining, friends are much more interested in catching up and chatting with one another. More complicated games usually end up being too much of a burden and then become forgotten.

While traditionally a gambling game, just playing with the colored tokens worked for us. Crown & Anchor is so easy to engage everyone, and it’s perfect for casual play while relaxing and enjoying glass of crisp rosé by the water. The game can be found here

Such a fun game, and a round only takes a few minutes because the game is so simple (there are multiple variations). If you ever play, you’ll have to let me know if you like it!
