Coveted Consignment

I’d never really shopped consignment before. Sure, I may have popped into a consignment shop now and again, only to find it cluttered or overwhelming. As an avid seller on Poshmark, I have always appreciated the system of finding a new, loving owner for my previously-loved pieces. But, little did I know just how much I would love treasure hunting for new-to-me pieces.

Enter Covet Boston. The Covet team invited me to check out all of their extensive collection from over 4,000 consignors! The store is absolutely beautiful. It’s so bright and cheery and feels like there’s a world of opportunity! You never know what you could find among the racks! I had so much fun trying on a few potential looks. Honestly, I felt like I looted the place! I left with the MOST incredible Self Portrait skirt (new with tags), a J.Crew collection leather jacket, and Madewell brand lace top!

Obsessed would be an understatement for how I’m feeling about my finds, especially this Self Portrait skirt! I can’t believe I found it new with tags! Plus, you know I can’t resist a pleated midi. Having found these gems recently, I’m excited to continue consignment shopping! If participating in sustainability initiatives is at all a concern for you, consignment shopping is a great way to start. Just because you may have worn a piece once or twice and feel it has served its purpose for you doesn’t mean it can’t be loved and cherished by someone else. By prolonging the lifetime of each piece, we can incrementally reduce waste!

I’ll definitely be back to Covet to check out what’s new, but I’ll also be doing browsing online at sites like The Real Real, Fashionphile, and Luxury Garage Sale.
