Muted Winter Florals
As much as I love Christmas red and festive burgundy to celebrate this joyful season, I also very much appreciate muted, cool winter tones, especially in a floral print like in this Maggy London dress. Amidst all the bright, vibrant colors and starry lights, it can be nice to switch things up. Please don’t get me wrong, I LOVE every single bit of the holiday season. Truth be told, I’ve been listening to my Christmas playlist in my car since August…accidentally subconsciously (?). The bluetooth automatically syncs with my car and that is the only playlist I’ve had on my phone since I got it last year. What can I say?
Anyway, to get back to the matter at hand, I love the cool silvery blues and whites that are prevalent this time of year. Even thought I generally gravitate toward warmer tones, I love the chic vibe of cooler winter tones as well. Recently, I stumbled across this video by Tastemade and drew a lot of inspiration from it. As someone who prefers gold to silver, I actually love the silver spray paint in this craft. Maybe a fun project for the (next?) holiday season!
Dressing for Comfort
Given that this dress is not only work appropriate, but it also makes a great day-to-night/office-to-cocktails look, I wanted to make sure it was comfortable enough to be wearing all day. I can assure you, it most certainly is. The rayon/spandex blend makes movement super easy, so wearing this pretty little number all day long is not a problem. I 100% prefer dresses to pants because I just find them more comfortable, and this dress is absolutely no exception.
