Cold Weather Color

When the temperature starts dropping, I start gravitating more toward grays and blacks when getting dressed each morning. It is so easy to throw on black tights or black pants and a cozy gray sweater; however, I think it is so important to continue to include cheery colors into your wardrobe on a regular basis. After transitioning from the summertime season of bright colors, the darker colors are such a contrast. I picked up this skirt (now on sale for $28!!) a while back thinking it would be perfect for the end of the summer, but with subtle touches of black, it has paired well with a black turtleneck to carry me through the fall season as well. I love the way that it adds a pretty and bright bit of color to an otherwise entirely dark outfit.

See some of my other favorite brightly colored skirts that can be paired with darker colors during these cooler months.

I picked up some pretty blooms this past weekend to have around the apartment (flowers just make everything happier, in my opinion) and I loved how the soft roses brought out the watercolors of the skirt.

Get my outfit details here:

How are you planning to stay colorful this season?

I love this! I always love black, but I’m such a believer in adding color too. It does so much for mood in the colder months. You look fantastic!

I love this outfit, especially the print on that skirt! Great pop of color with all black.
