Midi Dress with a Twist

So, you all know I’m a fan of midi-length dresses and skirts this year, like in this post and in this look. They are classic and conservative and can be dressed up or down. Sometimes; however, I want something with a little bit of an edge like this (slightly) scandalous high slit midi length dress. The loose flowing material coupled with the deep burgundy hue and floral print makes this little number and ideal transitional piece for these not-quite-summer, yet not-quite-fall days.

Blonder Hair

Recently, I lightened my hair. I’ve generally stuck with a mild balayage to just bring some lightness to my ends, while embracing my natural dirty blonde color. About a week ago, I had some extra lightness brought in, which is what you see in these pictures. I struggled with this a little bit before, ultimately deciding to tone it back down to a more natural color. You’ll see it featured soon, and I would love to hear your feedback! It is always such a battle with these silly, insignificant things, like hair color, isn’t it?!

This dress has made minor appearances in this post as well as this one, but I didn’t feel like you truly got too see the full beauty of the design in those other photos. And so, here we are! Do you love this style as much as I do?

Also – I just have to comment on these booties, since I’ve been wearing them almost everyday lately. If you are going to buy just one new piece for your wardrobe this fall, it should be these shoes! They are super comfy (not one blister), breathable (thanks to the cutout style), and versatile (I’ve been wearing them with everything)! They come in a few different colors, but I thought the gray would be most versatile for the season.
