I’ve always been a fan of shift dresses. They’re comfortable and easy to wear. There’s nothing better than tossing on a shift dress and a few accessories in the morning and having a perfectly put together outfit in seconds. I have a collection of “go-to” basic shift dresses that I know I can slip on and feel good in. Although this deep burgundy is not a color I typically would go for, its warmth lends itself well to the color palette of fall. Also, I didn’t originally picture this necklace working well with the dress since the colors are so similar. I thought it might clash, but the colors of the necklace are somewhat muted, so they compliment the burgundy red well.

I love the transitional colors of fall, but sometimes I think they can really be hit or miss for me (whether or not they’ll work with my light complexion). I love the mustard yellow that is popular every fall, and the burnt oranges and grays and camels, but for now, I’m happy with my burgundy red.

Love this entire outfit!! Colder seasons are a great time to be daring, so I love bold deep colors like reds, oranges, mustards, greens, etc! It’s also a great time of year to wear all black so I’m usually all over that 🙂
