Blush Off-the-Shoulder Top in Paradise

Warm sun. Lush florals. Salty sea breeze. It really doesn’t get any better than that. Miami certainly is its own kind of paradise, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to visit. The sun and humidity provide mean there is lots of growing plant life, and I have to say the vivid colors everywhere made me feel right at home.

For a date night out, I opted for a flirty poplin top. Even though the off-the-shoulder cut can sometimes be difficult to wear, the elastic material was perfect. The top portion was nicely fitted around my chest and shoulders and it gave way perfectly to a more flowy and feminine cut bottom. Of course, white jeans are almost everyone’s go-to for summer style, so my pair of white jeggings (stolen from my sister) were the perfect complement.

I’m one of those girls who always wears the same earrings. Every. Single. Day. Actually I have three pairs that I rotate between – a pair of tiny white gold diamond studded hoops, classic gold knots and my David Yurman earrings. I almost never stray from these classics, partly because I know they’ll go with everything and partly because I never felt that statement earrings worked for me. That is, until I was browsing Amazon recently and stumbled across these tassel fan earrings. They add the perfect fun touch for my vacation date night look.

Wicker is absolutely having a moment right now, and I have happily jumped on the bandwagon. I’ve always loved the whimsical and rustic look. It reminds me of leisurely afternoon picnics with bread and cheese and wine. I picked up this J.McLaughlin circle bag as soon as I saw it.
