Animal Print in Color: Next Level Leopard

You’ve been seeing animal print everywhere during the past few seasons, but have you seen it in color? I don’t need to tell you animal print isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and I’m trying it out in this next level colorway: lemon yellow and baby pink. One of my favorite brands of-the-moment, Ganni, designed this beautiful poplin dress, and it’s just my style. With puff sleeves, pleats and ruffle collar detailing, I’m all about this dress. While I do like how the shape of the muumuu dress fell on me, I chose to belt it to give it a bit more structure. A wide, white belt would have been a super chic complement to this print as well.

Regarding the white booties, I spent less than $100 on them, and they owe me NOTHING. Although they are sold out now, they still come in black! I seriously could wear them with EVERYTHING, and for the most part, I do. I’ve actually scratched and scuffed them up extensively (although it’s hard to tell here) so much wear, but I don’t mind since they were such a great price! One of my best buys in recent months. Most importantly, white works with just about any color palette. So, go ahead, go bold with your animal prints and colors, and you can always rely on a trusty pair of always-on-call white booties.

You’re seeing animal print in all categories: clothing, shoes, and accessories. And you’re seeing all different animal prints: leopard, zebra, cow and snake, all as a nod to the prints that nature created. This trend is most certainly here to stay, and the fact that nature designed them is likely the reason why. Animal prints are down-to-earth, yet exotic; neutral, yet statement-making.
