Military Inspired Utility Dress
Given my recent affinity for midi length dresses, when I saw this 1940s inspired utility dress, I knew I had to have it for the fall season. I love the flattering cinched waist, especially coupled with military infused accents. Something about a longer dress just makes me feel good, and the vibe of this olive green dress truly made me feel like I had stepped right out of a scene from Atonement (one of my favorite movies).
Olive Green + Leopard
Given my fair skin and hair, I was a little nervous about this chartreuse/olive green color. I worried it might make me appear a bit washed out. Despite my hesitations, this color just embodies the look I was going for so well. Plus, it is a great color to wear this time of year. With the leaves changing and the local scenery starting to show signs of more yellows and oranges than greens, it is time to start swapping over our wardrobes.
For a bit of modern flair, I added these leopard print calf hair pumps. To be honest, a few years ago, I wouldn’t have been caught dead in a kitten heel like this. Despite my firm opinions then, I have had a change of heart. I think smaller heels are making a comeback – not only are they more walkable, but they are chic as well!
Investment Pieces
I decided to treat myself while on Nantucket recently, and splurge on these signature Chanel sunglasses! I believe every girl should have a few pieces in her wardrobe that she is proud of to have invested in, and these puppies are for sure mine right now.
